What I have found is that everyone experiences symptoms of ADHD, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you have it. The defining characteristic of ADHD is how much it inhibits your life.

Excellent point, thanks for making it. I just found the following statement on Psychology Today:

People with ADHD are characterized by difficulty in visualizing the future along with the inability to put the pieces together to get there.

I think this is also true of some people with aphantasia, including me, though probably not a majority, to judge by the survey responses in Alan Kendle’s book on the subject. I’m hopeful that we’ll learn more soon, as more research is carried out into aphantasia.
