I don’t know if I’d use the term “internal dialogue” exactly but I certainly have an incessant internal monologue, where I talk to myself all the time. As a kid, I used to do it out loud, till it was pointed out to me that this can look a bit odd, and be quite annoying! I still often talk (out loud) to the software I use at work — in an open-plan office.
I definitely can’t draw pictures. I have a nephew who draws very well. To me it looks like a kind of witchcraft.
As for spatial puzzles, I have to concentrate hard and “go the long way around”, i.e. laboriously work out which edge/corner would go where, etc. When I was younger, I’d usually get there in the end. These days, I tend to lose patience quite quickly.
As you say, people’s visual ability falls on a spectrum. Mine is right out at the infrared (or do I mean ultraviolet?) end.
